ColorThink’s Color Assets opens and interprets the following fie types:

  • All 7 Profile types listed in the ICC.1 specification(s) - versions 2 and 4. ColorThink will open ICC.2 (ICCmax, version 5) profiles but only to show the structure and header fields, no color processing of ICCmax profiles is performed)

  • Image files

    • JPEG (RGB and CMYK)

    • TIFF (RGB, CMYK, and Lab. Each in 8 or 16-bit depth)

    • PNG (RGB)

    • HEIC (RGB, Mac-only)

    • webP (RGB)

    • GIF (RGB) (but only those pronounced with a hard G)

    • BMP (RGB)

  • Text files

    • CGATS-style .txt files used as references, measurements, characterized reference print conditions, target definition files, etc.

    • Many CxF-based XML files are supported. We’ve counted at least 20 different variants of CxF files and soma of them may not load completely or properly. If you have a need for file types that are not laoding properly, please contact us and send samples.
